Position Overview:
Looking for an experienced Director of Construction to lead our construction team, ensuring the successful completion of commercial tenant buildouts. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, has a strong background in construction management, and is driven to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project management from conception to completion.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project success.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within allocated funds.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the construction team to achieve operational excellence.
- Review and approve project designs and blueprints.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with legal regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Foster and maintain client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Implement risk management strategies to minimize potential project issues.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Regularly provide project status updates to company leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 yrs experience in construction management, with a focus on multifamily and commercial and both renovations and new construction.
- Proven experience in leading both renovations and large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in construction management software such as Procore
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
