Farm Field Technician II

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general farm duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Safely operate farm vehicles and farm machinery. Obey applicable traffic laws.
- Safely operate various types of farm equipment such as large John Deere front wheel assist tractors, air seeders, tillage equipment, grain carts, brush cutters and haying equipment.
- Follow operator instructions and wear appropriate safety equipment such as goggles, gloves, or other protective clothing.
- Maintain a positive image of the McBee Farm and Cattle Co. by fostering good relationships with the surrounding community.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check (MVR).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to communicate well with supervisors, co-workers, and community.
- Able to work overtime during planting and harvest seasons and outside and in all weather conditions.
- Availability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as dictated by seasonal needs.
Education and Experience
- 1-2 years of farm experience required.
- Experience operating farm equipment and machinery required.
- Experience operating late model John Deer machinery and corn planting systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic machine maintenance required.
