ABOUT THIS POSITION - WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a highly competent, driven, tenacious sales estimator who will be responsible for generating new business, closing sales and meeting on site with homeowners and businesses looking to paint.
To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience with outside sales, that is meeting in person with a client and providing them with a proposal to generate a sale.
You should be someone who LOVES the feeling of closing a sale and hitting and surpassing your goals.
We are looking for someone who understands that doing the right thing for the customer is ultimately best for the company and knows how to sell people based on trust.
You should be someone who is highly coachable and who is committed to learning our sales process so well you could “do it with your eyes closed” or “Could teach a class on it”
Ultimately, you will help generate more paint jobs to help us hit our ambitious growth targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES: FUNDAMENTALLY THIS JOB IS...
To make sales at a high conversion rate and generate jobs and revenue for the company.
Some of the things you'll do...
- Meeting with customers face to face in their home, learning all about them, finding out everything they want and need, educating them on different solutions we provide.
- Meeting with commercial customers at project sites, at their office or business.
- Conduct detailed inspections of the projects, identifying every failure problem or defect.
- Measuring surfaces and estimating costs.
- Building a custom and detailed proposals to included absolutely everything you observed and learned from the customer. Ensuring everything they want and need is included to provide exceptional service.... No stone left unturned.
- Presenting and selling customers on the spot and following up as needed.
- Creating jobs and reports to hand over to our production team. Working with project managers to ensure we get the customer what you promised.
- 75% of your time is spent doing estimates, meeting with prospective clients, and following up on prospects
- 15% of the time you will be generating new bid opportunities, lunches/meetings with potential clients, stopping by offices and creating new business and cultivating relationships.
- 10% of your time is spent on team building, meetings, trainings, and administrative tasks.
WHAT'S REQUIRED - ABOUT YOU
- You have hands on experience with B2C outside sales, meeting with prospects in person and presenting in person proposals.
- You are highly competitive and love the thrill of selling.
- You are goal oriented and have been held accountable for meeting sales goals and exceeding conversion targets in the past.
