This position is scheduled for Monday-Friday; 11 am to 4 pm. Some weekends may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Arvada Aquatics Center, including vacuuming carpeted areas, cleaning floors, washing windows and walls, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, and locker rooms, emptying trash, and dusting surfaces.
- Keep equipment and furnishings clean.
- Ensure custodial supplies are stocked, and custodial equipment is well-maintained.
- Safely store chemical products.
- Assist with snow removal, sweep/wash sidewalks, and pick up trash on the facility grounds.
- Enforce all Apex Park and Recreation District policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets up for swim meets as needed
- Must be 18.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and maintenance.
- Knowledge of operating standard vacuum, and auto scrubber.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team player with the flexibility to work varying hours to meet facility demands.
- Competence in safely operating custodial/maintenance equipment, including wet and dry mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, handcarts, ladders, chemical cleaners/detergents, snow shovels, electric scrubbers, and hand tools.
- High School diploma or equivalent or current student.
- Must possess current and valid Colorado driver's license.
- One to two years of custodial experience preferred.
Physical Activities
- Handling objects weighing 50 - 75 pounds frequently.
- Sits, stands, bends and moves frequently during working hours.
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals, and blood borne pathogens possible.
- Interacts with recreation services staff, public vendors and contractors frequently.
