What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance - Seasonal Aquatics Technician position at Apex Park and Recreation District?
The Seasonal Part-Time Aquatics Maintenance Technician will work directly with the full time Aquatics and HVAC Technician to maintain 3 indoor pools, 3 outdoor pools, and 2 splash pads within the Apex Park and Recreation District. Training is available for all aquatic responsibilities.

- Assist the Aquatics and HVAC Technician with startup, operation, and shutdown of indoor and outdoor pools and splash pads
- Create and maintain a safe aquatic environment
- Deliver pool chemicals to facilities as needed
- Backwash and chemically balance pools as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on swimming pool systems
- Drive a district truck to attend to maintenance issues that arise
- Position will not exceed an average of 20 hours per week and will run from April to October.
- Work schedule will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 7am-12pm, Fridays and Saturdays 9am-2pm
- Some flexibility in schedule is possible and can be discussed with hiring manager
- Preferred knowledge of swimming pools.
- Preferred knowledge of safe maintenance practices
- Ability to follow instructions and stay on task
- Comfortable using a computer and a work order system to keep records of work completed
- Ability to use a variety of hand/power tools to perform basic maintenance tasks
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds regularly
- Ability to work in adverse conditions and work on short timetables
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must possess a current and valid Colorado Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Salary : $19 - $20
