Ohio Medical Physics Consulting (OMPC) Therapy, a dynamic and growing therapy medical physics practice, has an opening for a full-time Therapy Medical Physicist based in Columbus, OH. A successful candidate will be an integral member of the OMPC team but be able to work independently at client sites providing the highest level of clinical service. Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain standards and regulation requirements
- Perform quality assurance and testing on Mosaiq/Aria, Eclipse, and Varian/Truebeam Systems
- Perform physics role for HDR procedures
- Adhere to client and company policies and procedures
- Consult with radiation oncologists and staff
- Perform routine physics services
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable in state and professional regulations
- Willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues
- A desire to demonstrate initiative and ownership of daily tasks and projects
- Capable of paying strict attention to detail, thorough, and well-organized
- Comfortable dealing with a variety of situations and different personalities
- Ability to actively problem-solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Board Eligible or Board certified by the American Board of Radiology
- MS or PhD in Medical Physics
- HDR Authorized User
- 4 years clinical therapy physics experience
- Valid State Registration/Approval (Ohio)
- Valid Driver’s License
