Ohio Medical Physics Consulting (OMPC) Therapy, a dynamic and growing therapy medical physics practice, has an opening for a full-time Therapy Medical Physicist based in Columbus, OH. A successful candidate will be an integral member of the OMPC team but be able to work independently at client sites providing the highest level of clinical service. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain standards and regulation requirements
  • Perform quality assurance and testing on Mosaiq/Aria, Eclipse, and Varian/Truebeam Systems
  • Perform physics role for HDR procedures
  • Adhere to client and company policies and procedures
  • Consult with radiation oncologists and staff
  • Perform routine physics services

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in state and professional regulations
  • Willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues
  • A desire to demonstrate initiative and ownership of daily tasks and projects
  • Capable of paying strict attention to detail, thorough, and well-organized
  • Comfortable dealing with a variety of situations and different personalities
  • Ability to actively problem-solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Board Eligible or Board certified by the American Board of Radiology
  • MS or PhD in Medical Physics
  • HDR Authorized User
  • 4 years clinical therapy physics experience
  • Valid State Registration/Approval (Ohio)
  • Valid Driver’s License

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Physicists are required to have flu and COVID vaccinations to enter the hospitals and client sites.
