What your day will look like:
- Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Supplemental/Voluntary benefits, and 401(k).
- Manage the leave of absence program, covering short-term and long-term disability, FMLA, and both paid and unpaid company leave options.
- Collaborate with the internal communications team to create materials such as presentations and information packets that keep employees and management informed about benefits and updates.
- Review and analyze benefits policies, government regulations, and market trends to make recommendations for competitive benefits plans.
- Stay current with laws, regulations, and practices affecting employee benefits programs, ensuring company compliance.
- Review, interpret, and maintain legal benefit plan documents to ensure compliance with IRS/DOL regulations.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs.
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation strategies and suggest adjustments that align with industry trends and organizational goals.
- Provide guidance to corporate staff on pay-related matters, policy interpretation, and job evaluations.
- Lead payroll process management, including procedures and audits.
- Supervise and direct Payroll Administrators.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- 7 to 10 years of experience in Compensation and Benefits and/or Human Resources
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and legislative issues impacting Benefits (COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, HSA, USERRA, etc.)
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation
