Description : Position Summary :
Apex Recovery is seeking dedicated volunteers to support our mission of providing compassionate care to individuals in recovery. Volunteers will assist in various non-clinical capacities, enhancing the overall experience for clients and supporting staff in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment. This position is unpaid but offers valuable experience in the behavioral health and recovery field.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist staff with non-clinical tasks, including organizing supplies, greeting visitors, and maintaining common areas.
- Engage with clients in approved activities, such as recreational, educational, or wellness programs, under staff supervision.
- Support the facilitation of structured group activities, as appropriate and authorized.
- Help with administrative duties such as filing, organizing materials, and assisting with event coordination.
- Ensure compliance with all facility policies, confidentiality regulations (HIPAA), and safety protocols.
- Follow staff instructions regarding appropriate interactions with clients to maintain professional boundaries.
- Report any concerns regarding client safety or well-being to a supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines as required by Apex Recovery, The Joint Commission, and state regulations.
