Job Summary:
Floating Medical Assistant will serve as a key member of the healthcare team, that will travel to both Suwannee and Bethlehem locations, performing routine clinical duties, ensuring efficient and quality patient care in our clinical settings.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee clinical operations and ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the medical assistant team, ensuring optimal patient care and workflow efficiency.
- Perform patient intake, vital sign measurement, and assist with exams and procedures.
- Administer injections, vaccines, and perform basic lab tests as needed.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in training new staff members and conducting performance evaluations for the medical assistant team.
- Ensure clinical equipment is properly maintained, sanitized, and functioning.
- Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and outcomes.
- Address patient concerns and provide exceptional customer service in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Assist in patient education and follow-up care instructions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, medical terminology, and office administration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organization in a busy clinical environment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
