Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Financial Chiropractic Assistant to join our team. As a Chiropractic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our growing, fast paced chiropractic office. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the chiropractor in delivering high-quality chiropractic services to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Billing & Coding: Handling insurance billing, coding, and verifying insurance coverage for patients. Ensuring proper coding of chiropractic procedures for correct insurance claims processing.
- Accounts Receivable: Managing the collection of payments from patients and insurance companies. This includes tracking outstanding balances, following up with overdue accounts, and issuing invoices..
- Patient Payments: Handling patient transactions, including credit card payments, checks, and insurance co-pays. Helping patients understand their payment options and financial responsibility.
- Administrative Support: In addition to financial tasks, the assistant may also help with scheduling, answering patient inquiries, or supporting the office manager.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient files, and handling billing and insurance claims
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding specific to chiropractic care.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing finances.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to patients and staff.
- Familiarity with insurance policies, including Medicare and private insurance plans.
- Organizational skills to maintain accurate records and handle multiple tasks.
Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to chiropractic care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
