What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Scrub Tech position at Apex Staffing, Inc.?
Full-time Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (closing at noon on Fridays)
$22-24/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities:
Prepare for surgical procedures by collecting and checking supplies and instrument trays. Scrub and set up sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures following departmental standards. Assists clinical team with patient and procedure room preparation and post-procedure clean-up, operating the C-Arm where applicable, scrub-in for procedures, clean and sterilize tools and equipment. Collaborates with the RNs, surgeons and all healthcare team members. Maintains sterile field following standards for counts, medication, specimens, and safety precautions. Responsible for other related duties as required.
Education:
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
1 full year of scrub experience OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
