This role will lead and develop current team members, while also serving as a technical leader supporting data users' business needs, supporting data governance, data management and data quality initiatives, performing data quality profiling, measuring and reporting for data quality issue remediation.The Data Quality Lead will be able to work collaboratively with internal teams and business partners to drive results.Here, we want Data Quality Leads to work with our stakeholders as we develop data solutions to better serve our customers, support our communities, and make our colleagues' lives better.Our goal is to be the Leading People-First, Customer-Centered Bank in the Country.Duties and Responsibilities : Supports data management and quality teams on the implementation of data quality, metadata and lineage, data sourcing and usage, data issue management requirementsWorks closely with internal partners in Audit, Compliance, Risk, and Legal to identify and define data policies, standards, and controls to enable broader use of data across the org.Supports the creation of new processes and end-to-end design of various components within the Data Policies, Data Management and Data Quality CapabilityLeads implementation of an ongoing communication plan to educate key stakeholders on Data Governance, Data Management and Data Quality frameworksWorks with business partners to understand requirements for data use, analysis, and quality.Works with stakeholders to ensure that business needs are clearly understood and that services meet those needs.Anticipates and analyzes trends in technology while assessing the emerging technology's impact(s).Uses business acumen and functional stakeholder input to understand data needed for process enablementPartners with data curators to understand business rules to enable proper interpretation for metrics.Leads internal groups to resolving data concerns.Monitors business perception of data quality to establish subjective quality measures.Establishes parameters for a data / data set.Implements systematic data quality monitoring for both objective and subjective measures.Reports findings and works proactively with data governance, data curators, business systems to identify root cause and facilitate the remediation and improvement of data quality.Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and develops team to work with all areas of the organization.Coaches individuals through change and serves as a role model.Profiles data from internal and external sources.Informs solution design and improvements to meet data quality goals.Liaises with Data Governance to communicate data quality issues and consults on remediation initiatives.Coordinates with data curators to ensure data accessibility and quality.Contributes to management of central data stores and metadata to establish quality expectations.Manages processes associated with data quality.Perform other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics or related fields)7 years of experience with Data Governance / Data Management / Data Quality and demonstrated experience with the following : working with or in business operations and reporting processes, and translating business data needs into technical language and partnering with IT teams to ensure effective QA / UAT of solution deliveryPreferred Qualifications : Strong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong problem-solving skills, focusing on outcomes and resultsUnderstanding of OLAP, SQL, query skills, and Business Intelligence technologies / conceptsUnderstand DataOps and DevOps operational stylesUnderstanding of Data Management and Data Quality principles, best practices and processesTechnical knowledge, skills and experience using Data Management and specifically Data Quality tools, including understanding of relational databases, data warehouse concepts and SQL and query writing skillsWorking knowledge of available data sources and how they relate to each otherCollaborative working style and ability to facilitate cooperation with business stakeholders and analystsWillingness and ability to learn new technologies on the jobFinancial Services backgroundEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
