Summary:
This is a key role to supporting digital transformation operations. This role will help create and maintain project controls and project artifacts and reporting. This position will also support a senior project manager on a large enterprise-wide project and/or independently manage small to medium sized projects with low risk. This role is intended lead project work while gaining experience and supporting digital transformation operations.
Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
1. Operations: This position coordinates and helps maintain project controls. This would include but not limited to project financials (budget/forecast/actuals reporting), project artifacts, reporting and management of the PPM tool kit.
2. Project Identification & Planning: Accountable to collaborate across all functions to facilitate the identification, scoping and planning of technical and strategic projects. Projects will be of lower complexity or will be supporting larger project with oversight from a Project Manager and Program Management.
Ensure intersections, dependencies, and deliverables are communicated and reported
Provide input to and assist Digital Transformation (DT) management with the development of individual and overarching project schedules to ensure cohesion in the event of project overlap.
3. Project Execution: Supports the assigned project's effective and systematic progression from the point of assignment to benefits realization.
Facilitate the development of resource requirements, cost benefits analysis, future state design, progress reporting & presentations, etc. for assigned project
Help prepare approval for work stream project management plan(s)
Facilitate communication within and among work streams.
Coordinate the reporting for the adherence to allocated budget and the design of ongoing budgetary requirements for assigned project.
Build and maintain effective relationships with impacted business partners
Monitor and support the design and integrate solutions to address significant impediments.
4.Team Coordination:
Coordinate the processes, procedures, budget and monitoring
Support projects proactively to identify and mitigate potential risks
Respond to issues that require support to correct
Plan and collaborate to eliminate/minimize resourcing conflicts
5. Status Reporting: Prepare accurate project documentation when reporting out progress to leadership and business partners.
Report weekly status.
Follow reporting procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum of 1 years of project management experience supporting Information Technology projects or relevant technology project experience.
Ability to work with complex project financial artifacts, project financial forms and portfolio and project reporting
Ability to coordinate between various departments impacted by project scope
Ability to provide metrics on assigned projects
Competency in project management tools and basic office programs (MS Project, Share Point, Power Point, MS Office, Smartsheet)
Experience working with Asset Suite, People Soft Financials and/or other project financial reporting systems
Ability to work in an environment of uncertainty and incomplete information and bring clarity
Effective time management
Self-motivated multitasker with the ability to work unsupervised
Desired:
Bachelor's degree OR minimum of 4 years of Business Technology/Information Technology experience
Formal Project Management Training with an interest in the project management profession
Experience working with Agile/SCRUM SDLC methodology
