Billing Customer Service Specialist (Project Coordinator)

Hybrid 3 days onsite - downtown Cincinnati, OH

Description:

The Billing Customer Service Specialist will work with suppliers of branded products to provide on-demand billing details for invoices, research improvements for the existing billing process, and independently manage related projects to meet departmental needs.

Main Requirements:

  • Proficiency in navigating Microsoft (MS) Windows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members across various disciplines and roles (e.g., external suppliers, product development, marketing, merchandising, technology, data analysis, finance, accounts receivable and payable).
  • Ability to manage disputes professionally.
  • Strong communication skills via email, phone, instant messaging, and virtual/live meetings.
  • Good research skills.
  • Decision-making skills to efficiently address customer requests.
  • Excellent organizational skills to track multiple ongoing issues that may take weeks to months to resolve.
  • Proactive in checking in and performing consistent outreach to complete tasks.
  • Ability to consistently update and maintain various data spreadsheets.
  • Ability to improve established processes and openness to implementing changes to streamline the on-demand billing inquiry process.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., filtering large data sets, pivot tables).
  • Ability to use MS Project.
  • Ability to schedule meetings in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Proficiency in MS Power BI and/or SAP Business Intelligence-Business Objects.
  • Project management experience or a desire to manage projects (e.g., project tracking, providing status updates to stakeholders, timely communication of risks, resolving issues promptly).
