Our Finance team serves as a critical business partner responsible for managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.
What will I be doing?
The Analyst, Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) will support the Manager and Senior Analyst with the monitoring, reporting, and forecasting of capital expenditures, support funding requests and project close-outs, and perform various other activities supporting Hilton’s fixed asset accounting related activities, such as the monitoring and forecasting of capital expenditures for projects being executed across a portfolio of properties.
• Monitor capital expenditures against established budgets
• Prepare weekly project status updates and monthly project expenditure reports
• Develop periodic project financial forecasts
• Resolve additional funding/substitution needs as required
• Prepare project closeout documentation in accordance with Hilton standards
• Perform compliance duties such as the set-up and maintenance of internal controls and SOX compliance
• Support team by working with Fixed Asset Accounting Controller on accounting for capitalized legal fees, development bonuses, and intangibles
• Report results to others and explain and decipher findings
• Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments
• Collaborate with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goals
• Attend staff meetings pertinent to work assignments

• Exceptional critical thinking and both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to utilize logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative or conclusions to problems
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and to provide recommendations for optimal solutions.
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
• One (1) year of professional experience in Accounting
• Proficiency in Excel
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
• BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree and/or MA/MS/Master's Degree Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Three (3) years of professional experience in Accounting
• Experience with Capital Expenditures
