Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Certification & Compliance Engineer for our client based out of Hagerstown, MD.
This assignment is anticipated to be a --8 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Certification & Compliance Engineer for our client based out of Hagerstown, MD.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and ensure type approvals for components, systems, or vehicles impacted by projects are delivered according to project plans.
- Maintain delivery of legal documents throughout the product family lifetime as requested by authorities.
- Manage and plan all certification, compliance, and homologation activities and deliverables for start cost projects and maintenance.
- Report and communicate status on certification, compliance, and homologation internally and to type approval authorities and technical services.
- Develop and improve processes and tools for certification, compliance, and homologation across the organization.
- Serve as a reference for legal interpretation of regulated product-related areas.
- Manage and negotiate with type approval authorities and technical services regarding legal interpretations.
Experience:
- Recognized expert in Certification & Compliance Engineering, typically requiring 10 years or more relevant experience.
- Experienced project lead and established coach, mentor, and educator.
- Known subject matter expert and go-to person for complex discipline-related issues.
- Strong T-shaped profile, either building deeper discipline excellence or developing a mature generalist toolbox.
- Known product owner, often contributing to project roadmaps and strategies within the context of industry trends.
- Clear articulation of value creation by connecting their work to the TD/BA strategy.
