Role Overview:
As a CNC Machinist, you will:
- Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines such as lathes and mills, along with manual shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.
- Use a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
- Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material, parts, and equipment required.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
- Experience with CNC machines, including lathes and mills.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with 4th/5th axis CNC machines.
- Competitive pay ranging $28-$40.00/hour
