Configuration Management Specialist

Responsibilities

• Technical Configuration Specialist concentrates on development and configuration that focuses on project modifications, security, and workflow customizations to customized product/software lifecycle management tools.
• Responsible for developing technical strategies, standards, roadmaps, and technical reports for the organization and key stakeholders, and they may simultaneously address and support user account maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance, leadership, and direction related to ongoing and future projects including technical staff planning, organizing, and controlling assigned resources to accomplish objectives as well as serve as a technical liaison between Government leads and contractor technical leads.
• Perform periodic reviews of system environments for configurations, permissions, workflows, integrations, and logs, as well as managing software upgrades.
• Perform administration, development and support integrating with JIRA and its add-ons: Develop custom workflows, scripts, and automations to enhance JIRA functionality and leverage add-ons to extend its capabilities.
• Configure and customize Jira products to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enhance user experience for all stakeholders involved in quality management.
• Perform data migration from one Atlassian environment to another, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to manage user administration, configure custom workflows, create documentation, and provide technical support to users.
• Implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency, creating rules, and supporting Jira/Confluence add-ons.
• Developing, testing, and deploying integrations between Atlassian products and other internal systems, as well as maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of Atlassian products and best practices in administration and agile methodology.
• Understand system architecture of upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions.
• Support and troubleshoot Jira and Confluence, ensuring that these tools are functioning optimally for the teams that rely on them.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience administering Jira projects with advanced expertise in tool administration of Jira/Confluence, or related experience
• Strong knowledge and hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting of Atlassian suite of products especially JIRA and Confluence
• Experienced in Workflow Design, Requirement Elicitation, and Project Automation
• Familiar with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, etc..)
• Must have an Active DoD Security Clearance
• Must be a US Citizen
