Typical Day in the Role:
- Purpose of the Team - Supports day-to-day management of the Consumer Products licensing portfolio.
- Key projects - Assist with the negotiation of new deals and renewals for consumer products portfolio. Manage the contract process from start to finish. Day-to-day licensee management. Brand management experience.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm -
- 20% - Meetings max
- 55% - Managing negotiations, day-to-day business management, contracts workflow
- 25% - Reaching out to internal stakeholders, clarification, and approvals.

- Years of Experience Required - Candidate must have direct consumer products licensing management experience (not tech licensing or music).
- Best vs. Average - The ideal candidate will have direct consumer products licensing (not music or tech) management experience for 4 years. They will have experience working with partners and negotiating deals involving licensing management for consumer products.

- Process - The sponsor will speak to the top candidates, then if passes, the candidate will meet with the sponsor manager and possibly have a final HSA with a team member.
- Preparation - N/A.
- Support the rapid growth of the Consumer Products business.
- Assist in negotiating deal terms and conditions.
- Help define category and brand strategy by reviewing market share and data analytics to develop strategies and business plans for collectibles, novelty, seasonal, craft, stationery, etc.
- Develop strategies to increase licensee revenue and secure new business deals.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, and challenges.
- Manage licensees on a day-to-day basis.
- Assist with quarterly forecasts.
- Liaise with key internal teams-Product Development, Legal, Finance, Franchise, and Marketing-through matrix management to secure approvals, ensure internal alignment, and provide timely feedback for partners.
- 4 years of experience in consumer products licensing.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with licensing agreements, negotiating deal terms, contract administration, and processes.
- Proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports to reflect business acumen and influence decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously against deadlines.
- Understanding of the licensing landscape.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, brand management, product development, marketing, and competitive product and retail landscapes.
- Passion for products and brand management, with successful outbound licensing experience at an entertainment studio, global consumer products company, or licensing agency.
