Role: REMOTE Diamond Developer
Location: REMOTE
Type: Long Term Contract
Apex Systems, a global IT Services leader, is searching for a Diamond Developer for an Insurance client. This role is fully remote and requires someone who is highly analytical and seasoned in Insuresoft products. Please see below for more details!
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position performs a combination of duties from the following list of functions:
1. Manages monitors and enhances assigned applications, reports, web sites, systems and databases to ensure the departmental goal for uptime is met or exceeded.
2. Successfully completes project development tasks for company initiatives within given timeframe and with high quality.
3. Develops, maintains and documents applications, web sites and reports; handles system and application malfunctions from a development standpoint to minimize downtime and makes recommendations for long-term changes.
4. Develops and tests application software and reports customizing to assist users with various business needs.
5. Performs crisis response activities regarding individual programming and assigned system problems including responding to off-hour trouble calls.
6. Keeps abreast of technical trends and changes.
7. Is a quality team member who uses effective listening techniques, solves problems creatively, responds to unscheduled requests, is enthusiastic about work, and is a positive role model for others.
8. Performs other functions assigned to insure effective and smooth continuity of operations and transactions in the best Company interest.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelors or Associates degree in computer technology or other closely related field
2. Up to three years of object-oriented programming
3. Skilled in ASP/ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#.Net, & SQL Server
4. Problem analysis and resolution skills
5. Detail-oriented with a necessary understanding of systems and applications to effect changes
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
7. General understanding of insurance industry preferred
8. Experience working with and supporting customizations within the Diamond Policy Admin System preferred
