Job Title : Drafting Specialist
Position Type : 12 month Contract
Location : Hybrid in Edina, MN
Job Summary : The Drafting Specialist is responsible for creating, updating, and revising sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using GIS software or manual drafting techniques to meet customer requirements. This role involves preparing 2D and 3D models, reading and comprehending detailed customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications. Assignments will be completed utilizing information provided by project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff under the direction of a supervisor.
Key Responsibilities :
Create, update, and revise sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using GIS software or manual drafting techniques.
Prepare 2D and 3D models.
Read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications.
Complete assignments using information provided by project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff under the direction of a supervisor.
Prepare documentation to support design drawings.
Prepare bills of material and schedules.
Assist engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction issues. Qualifications :
Familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering concepts and terminology.
Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
