Job Summary: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated E&C Engineer II to join their Engineering group. The resource will manage projects at our clients existing natural gas and coal generation facilities, ensuring all aspects of the project lifecycle are handled efficiently and effectively.

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated E&C Engineer II to join their Engineering group. The resource will manage projects at our clients existing natural gas and coal generation facilities, ensuring all aspects of the project lifecycle are handled efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from initiation to completion, including justification, scoping, hiring consultants and contractors, ordering materials, and overseeing execution.
- Ensure project adherence to budget, quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
- Conduct periodic field inspections and collaborate with the construction management group.
- Coordinate with plant operations, design teams, and other departments to ensure project success.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments including siting and land rights, environmental, sourcing, project controls, capital asset accounting, and fleet engineering.
- Support the planning and execution of strategic projects, including renewable energy initiatives and large equipment installations.
- Taking over all of the documentation paperwork, managing of the contracts and everything from planning group, and then executing upon that work.
- Ordering material and equipment needed to execute the work, they would be responsible for managing budget.
- Installing new large equipment or systems that help us meet our future strategic goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field).
- 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the utility or oil and gas industry.
- Project management experience, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
