Job Title: Expert Cloud Engineer
Location: Santa Monica, CA- Hybrid | Remote possible only if candidate is a great fit, but hybrid is highly preferred
Duration: 12 months with potential for extension
Job description:
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer in our Cloud Infrastructure team to support preliminary migration efforts from Google Cloud Platform to Azure. You are an excellent communicator, happy to work with people from several different business units. You can translate business needs into technical requirements and then help perform the implementation. We are problem solvers, constantly reviewing how and why we do things and learning from each other. We are experimental, trying out new tech and ideas and willing to do things differently to drive the entire industry forward. We are very passionate about our work, and while we love what we do, our lives are about more than work. We love games and are obsessed with helping to create the best player experiences by supporting our many internal customers.
Responsibilities:
Work with other engineers to identify opportunities to move data and/or workloads from Google Cloud Platform to Azure
Collaborate with peer engineering teams on cross functional migration projects
Create detailed plans for migrating data and/or workloads from Google Cloud Platform to Azure
Get your hands dirty by participating in migration and performing implementation tasks
Be passionate about working with and mentoring junior engineers
Qualifications:
5 years of demonstrated ability working with leading public clouds
3 years of experience working with Azure
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions
Experience with ArgoCD, Terraform, Atlantis, and Vault
Experience in migrating production systems from one public cloud to another
Great interpersonal skills and a consistent record to work in a collaborative team environment
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledgeable about Identity Management in Azure (Entra ID, PIM, etc)
Knowledgeable about Policy Management in Azure
Knowledgeable about Azure Networking
Passionate about documentation and training
Passionate about usability, maintainability, quality, and building for the long term
