Our clients Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging team is seeking a motivated and hands-on Mechatronics Test Engineer to join the SEIT (Systems Engineering, Integration and Testing) team. This team is a multi-disciplinary environment of system engineers, data scientists and test engineers dedicated to advancing the knowledge of robotics/automation and how millions of customer orders are fulfilled every day.
We are seeing candidates with field testing experience from a mechanical perspective on sorting, packaging, conveyor, or production equipment. Prefer candidates with scripting experience.

Summary
- The test engineer is responsible for the creation and execution of test programs, plans and methods for subsystem verification tests and complete system verification and validation tests to support new technology and product development programs.
- The test engineer will work with equipment and have familiarity with high volume production, sorting, packaging or conveyor systems.
- The Test Engineer is responsible for providing hands-on support during test runs on new technology.
- This includes recording test run data, making observations on machine performance, coordinating testing logistics and preparing test articles.
- This role will collaborate with Test Engineers to continuously improve test cases and methods of testing.
- They will work with hardware, software and controls development engineers, technical operations and solutions engineering to define, execute and report on verification and validation tests.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of field engineering experience
- BS Mechanical or Robotics or Mechatronics
- Experience with hands on machine improvement skills, prefer electromechanical
- Experience with Mechanical or Mechatronics Background
- Experience with FMEA or DFMEA
- Experience with packaging equipment, or bottling, or sorting systems
- Experience with photo eyes, sensors, mechanical systems and/or scripting experience is a plus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
- Deep hands-on technical expertise in testing of electro-mechanical systems
- Experience writing test reports analyzing data
- Experience in automation or robotic systems
- An understanding of rapid prototyping options
- Experience with Agile Development
- Understanding of safety systems
- Familiar with a manufacturing environment
- Basic coding/scripting capabilities
- Experience creating test plans derived from functional design requirements
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
- Experience in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- Design experience of simple parts, assemblies, and fixtures
