Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Support Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in field support, strong leadership qualities, and a passion for driving initiatives independently. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, particularly in Operational Technology (OT) and networking, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of field support technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to printers, applications, and OT systems, ensuring seamless integration between application and machine layers.
- Coordinate with application support teams and other relevant personnel to address and resolve application functionality issues.
- Implement and maintain OT systems, ensuring their integration with IT systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Monitor and ensure the security and reliability of OT and network systems.
- Provide training and mentoring to new team members, investing time and effort to ensure their success.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in field support, OT, and networking.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in field support roles, with a focus on OT and networking.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and support a team effectively.
- Technical expertise in OT systems, networking, and application functionality.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network ) are a plus.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of OT systems and their integration with IT systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in networking concepts, including switches, routers, VLANs, VPNs, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve application functionality issues related to printers and other devices.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with specific applications or software that manage label printing.
- Hands-on experience with OT integration projects in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing field support teams.
