Job Description:
Systems Engineer
Schriever SFB
Integrate Lab test suites in our development lab. Assist software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues; develop configurations to support test and prototypes of developing systems. Create and modify scripts to perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data; troubleshoot both test and prototype issues; develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents; review and provide feedback of system specifications, development, test, network documents as necessary, and represent the Integration team; automated scripting to configure and maintain remote hosts.
Wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions; works under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives; failure to achieve results normally results in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources; frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Required Skills:
Proficient in Linux, scripting (Bash, Python).
Basic level understanding of automation and implementation.
Proficient in troubleshooting methods.
Working knowledge of virtualized environments and software testing.
Familiarity with virtualized systems and security design and implementation.
Desired Skills (not required, but a plus):
Experience developing scripts in Ansible.
Knowledge of Containerized Virtual Environments
Experience with Windows Server and PowerShell scripting
Experience setting up, configuring, and maintaining databases.
Experience in Agile work environments and familiarity with the Product Owner Role
