Lab Support Engineer
12 Month Contract (Potential to extend)

Ability to trouble shoot, take ownership of work and continually strive for excellence .
Strong written and verbal communication - we are constantly communicating with our engineering partners, documenting our efforts in our ticketing system, through email, and in person.
RESPONSIBILITIES Installs and configures computing infrastructure and deploys new servers, equipment and software as required. Responsible for assisting in the design and layout of the computing infrastructure. Responsible for deployment of new servers and storage arrays. Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting the technical environment for problems. Identify system performance issues and help develop tools for better system management. Ensure that all services are consistently available to all end users. Provide technical assistance and consulting to the users if necessary. Maintain accurate hardware inventory records. Create and maintain storage allocation.
What you'll achieve
As a Lab Support Engineer 1, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining the infrastructure in a datacenter lab environment. This includes deploying new equipment, troubleshooting basic problems, helping our engineering partners configure their servers and many other tasks. You will be working with the latest servers and switches and learning the newest technologies. You will work alongside other members of our team to provide excellent service to the engineers who are using the hardware in our datacenter so they can accomplish their goals as quickly as possible.
You will:
Provide general client/server and networking support for the configuration and maintenance of the engineering solutions for the lab computing environment
Be responsible for ensuring proper deployment of servers, networking switches, storage arrays and software; troubleshoot issues that arise
Assist in the maintenance and automation of the datacenter environment as needed and ensure that any issues are identified and resolved
Maintain a working knowledge of all documented procedures
Replace system hardware by following documented processes
Essential Requirements
