Job Description : Shift Options :
- Evenings : 2pm-10 : 30pm (including Saturday and Sunday shifts every other week, plus holidays)
- Overnights : 10pm-6 : 30am (including Saturday and Sunday shifts every other week, plus holidays)
Responsibilities :
Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments, such as microscopes, IR analyzers, and pH meters.Conduct tests to determine the chemical, physical, and microbiological properties of raw and finished products, following established SOPs and regulatory guidelines.Perform sensory evaluations on ingredients and finished products to ensure they meet regulatory and customer quality standards.Record all test results on standardized forms and enter data into the appropriate systems.Oversee the release of fluid products for loadout, batch blending, and / or packaging lines.Report any out-of-specification test results or other quality issues to the relevant production and / or QA management.Direct incoming tanker trucks to the correct receiving bay and notify the appropriate production personnel.Operate the truck scale to ensure accurate weights of incoming and outgoing fluid loads for payment purposes.Generate Bills of Lading and Certificates of Analysis for outgoing bulk tanker loads.Perform calculations and adjustments to standardize evaporated milk tanks to meet regulatory standards and product specifications.Provide administrative support during off hours, including answering incoming switchboard calls and managing security check-ins / check-outs for visitors and vendors.Perform other related duties as required by QA Management.Required :
Associate’s degree in science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong time management skills.Functional and technical skills.Proven experience as a collaborative and contributing team member.High attention to quality and process detail.Work Environment :
The QC Laboratory Technician works in both office and manufacturing environments, spending most of the time in the QC Laboratory.Must be able to see, sit, stand, bend, and reach. Ability to operate general office equipment (computer, phone, calculator, copier, etc.) and lift up to 35 lbs. is required.Must adhere to General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and wear appropriate PPE when in the manufacturing plant, which may involve exposure to loud noise, hot / cold temperatures, and wet floors.EEO Employer
