Job Description:

Apex Systems is seeking an experienced M365 Cloud Integration Engineer for a large financial client. The position is a 12 mo. Contract position that will require candidates to see onsite 3x per week in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be eligible to sit on Apex Systems W2.

Pay Rate: $68-70/hr.

12 mo Contract position (extension to 18 months possible)

Job Summary:

The ideal applicant will be self-motivated and have prior experience developing, testing, and implementing various automation services in support of Microsoft 365 collaboration workloads. The candidate will assist in guiding engineering choices, obtaining requirements, analyzing data, and proposing technical solutions to deploy, monitor, and maintain long-term compliance with tenant baseline configurations. Strong technical and customer communication skills are required for this role. Candidates must be able to interact directly with all stakeholders, including project, security, compliance, data, user experience, engineering, architecture, operations, and governance.

As an Automation Engineer, you will provide development solutions to support M365 workloads such as OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online (hybrid), Teams, Advanced eDiscovery, and others. Knowledge in the following areas will be required: PowerShell, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), .NET, C#, VB, ASP, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, identity & access management, M365 groups, Azure policy services, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Admin RBAC Roles, Licensing, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and federated identities and emerging technologies in the M365 identity space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide full stack development using RESTful API's, SQL Triggers/Stored Procedures, Windows Services, Azure development platforms (Logic Apps, Functions, Runbooks) and PowerPlatforms.
• Manage M365 automation scripts leveraging the AutoSys orchestration platform.
• Design and deploy identity services which support Microsoft 365; deploy modern methods for authentication and secure access.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate systems deployment, operations, monitoring, and management.
• Define and maintain identity provisioning of services and role-based access controls; develop and maintain processes and systems to automate workflows for the provisioning, management and de-provisioning of directory objects and services.
• Provide support for the management of Azure tenants and services.
• Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures, collaborate with support teams and external providers for their implementation.
• Define and integrate monitoring and management of M365 workloads and processes to ensure system availability, security, and integrity; contribute to development and reporting of key performance indicators.
• Provide third-level support for user requests, incident, and problem management.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
• Generate engineering and design artifacts.
• Effectively collaborate with your engineering peers and management for new initiative solution planning, engineering, testing/validation, complex troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience:

• 5 years of relevant industry experience (e.g., financial services, legal, healthcare)
• 5 years' experience of supporting development for Azure services in support of Microsoft 365 workloads
• Experience with Microsoft 365 identity/policy administration, configuration, and policy management
• Experience with Azure identity security and compliance systems
• Experience with Azure RBAC models and Azure roles deployed using all scopes, including Resources, Resource Groups, Subscriptions and Management Groups
• Experience with Azure Registered Applications and automated authentication using certificates and secrets
• Experience with M365/Azure API technologies including Graph
• Experience with ASP.NET, .NET Framework
• Experience with Microsoft Windows operating system environment, IIS, and SQL Server
• Experience with providing operations and user support software / hardware training to formulate technology solutions and ensure the effective safeguarding and sharing of enterprise data
• Experience supporting mission critical, 24x7 systems
• Experience with ITIL foundational and Agile process methodologies
• Sound knowledge of markup languages such as XML, JSON, HTML, CSS

• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 identity design, data, and security controls
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 collaboration workloads such as OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams and Advanced eDiscovery
• Experience with enterprise security including TLS including SMTP over TLS, certificates, HSM
• Authentication mechanisms including domain authentication, OAuth/Modern Authentication, Kerberos
• Experience with network security components including load balancers and firewalls
• Understanding of Financial Regulatory, Legal and Compliance requirements
• Experience with JIRA, Bitbucket and Orchestration tools
• Microsoft Certified Professional or higher certification
