Project Cost Analyst

Apex Systems has an opening for a Project Cost Analyst with a client in Birmingham, Al. This role will be tasked with monitoring and analyzing project costs to ensure compliance.

This role is local to Birmingham, Alabama and requires the employee to work in the office 3x per week.

Title: Project Cost Analyst

Location: Birmingham, AL

• 3x per week in office.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Track and analyze project budgets, actual cost, and financial performance.
• Identify cost variances and investigate root causes.
• Drive budget preparation and cost projections. Ensure project cost align with financial goals and constraints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to adjust budgets based on project scope changes.
• Prepare financial reports and cost documentation for stakeholders. W
• Work closely with compliance to meet regulatory standards.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience specializing in monitoring, analyzing project cost, and ensuring compliance.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Access, Word, Power BI).
• Multitasking in a face paced environment. Ability and willingness to develop strong internal and external client working relationships.
• Adaptable and flexible in a changing and evolving environment.
• Ability to work on multiple complex projects and tasks and work closely day to day with the project managers and other project controls analysts.
