Role Overview : As an R&D Tech II , you will be at the forefront of food science innovation, supporting formula validations, preparing product samples, and ensuring organized data collection. You'll work in our state-of-the-art laboratory test kitchen, where you'll prepare, cook, and serve food samples for sensory test panels. Your responsibilities will include :
Performing laboratory tasks efficiently and safely.
Developing and executing cooking SOPs for assays and product validations.
Coordinating product samples for testing from multiple sources.
Communicating and collaborating cross-functionally.
Learning new equipment operations and methods for new products and experiments.
Documenting and communicating test findings using Microsoft Office.
Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized workplace.
Participating in internal sensory panels and demonstrating excellent record-keeping and accountability.
Maintaining laboratory kitchen equipment and voicing ideas, concerns, and solutions to teammates.
Key Responsibilities :
Support complex experiments in data collection and sample coordination.
Conduct cook tests on commercial cooking equipment for extended periods.
Produce food-safe benchtop samples for sensory, analytics, and consumer testing.
Support multiple projects with general lab kitchen tasks.
Follow all work area PPE requirements.
Requirements :
Experience in supporting formula validations and preparing product samples.
Ability to work in a laboratory test kitchen environment.
Strong organizational skills and adherence to safety practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent record-keeping and accountability.
Flexibility to handle other related duties as needed.
