Job Title: Salesforce Engineer

Location:?Remote (48 states ideally)

Work Hours:?CST with consideration for time zones

Target Rate:?$120 - $140 per hour

Contract Duration:?6 months with a chance for extension

About Us:?Client Discovery is a new product within Thrivent, focused on building a connection with clients and understanding their values. We aim to create an interactive digital experience that enables advisors to gather and utilize client information effectively. Our goal is to streamline data collection and sharing across different areas to enhance the client journey.

Current Team:

• 1 Engineering Lead
• 1 Test Automation Engineer
• 4 Engineers (3 Salesforce, 1 Java)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Salesforce CRM applications.
• Implement good coding practices, including code coverage, monitoring/observability, and secure coding.
• Take initiative and proactively contribute to the team.
• Engage in discussions, debates, and move forward with decisions.
• Work effectively in ambiguous situations.
• Collaborate with team members and enjoy the work environment.
• Understand and apply DevOps principles.
• Utilize GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay updated on the latest Salesforce technologies.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Salesforce Engineer.
• Proficiency in Salesforce CRM.
• Strong coding practices and understanding of code coverage, monitoring, and secure coding.
• Initiative and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to share opinions.
• Ability to work in ambiguous situations.
• Enjoys working in a collaborative and fun environment.
• Understanding of DevOps principles.
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Salesforce technologies.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Salesforce Financial Service Cloud.
• Familiarity with messaging software such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of Java and OpenShift.
