Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking to add a Senior Data Engineer to our esteemed healthcare client's team located in Rochester, MN. This is a FULLY REMOTE opportunity. We are aiming to screen and submit qualified candidates over the next week.
Schedule: M-F normal business hours, potentially on CST time
Format: Fully remote
Compensation: $55-64/hr (overtime rates of "time and a half" when/if applicable)

Requirements:
-Available for engagement during business hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm in the U.S Central time zone.
-Experience with SAFe Agile and Microsoft ADO
-Experience with strategic IAM design and architecture.
-Familiarity with FICAM model and HHS Cybersecurity Performance Goals.
-Competence with creating and maintaining documentation, reports, and presentations.
-Communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work effectively with the project sponsor, the project manager, the project team, and the relevant stakeholders, and use the agreed-upon communication channels and protocols.
-Adaptability and flexibility, and ability to cope with changing requirements, expectations, and timelines, and manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
-Professionalism and ethics, and ability to adhere to the projects code of conduct confidentiality agreements, and security policies, and protect the clients sensitive data and assets.
Core Duties:
-Implement data pipelines using best practices for ETL / ELT, data management, and data governance.
-Analyze and process complex data sources in a fast-paced environment.
-Perform data modeling against large data sets for peak efficiency.
-Identify, design, and implement process improvement solutions that automate manual processes and leverage standard frameworks and methodologies.
-Understand and incorporate data quality principles that ensure optimal reliability, impact, and user experience.
-Partner across teams to support cross-platform operations.
-Create and document functional and technical specifications.
-Drive exploration of new features, versions, and related technologies, and provide recommendations to enhance our offerings.
-Mentor junior engineers within the team
Education:
-Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; OR equivalent 5 years of experience.
-5 years of hands-on experience programming in SQL.
-3 years of experience building and maintaining automated data pipelines and data assets using batch and/or streaming processes
