Job Functions:
- Formalize and mature the Enterprise Solution Architecture practice.
- Collaborate and build relationships with business stakeholders and product owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and reliable systems and applications.
- Develop comprehensive solution architectures, including system integrations, data flows, reference architecture frameworks, and application interfaces.
- Define and describe the testing criteria for technological solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and proof of concepts for proposed solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the companys technology stack.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the implementation phase.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture standards, patterns, and best practices, and collaborate with IT security teams to ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements.
- Participate in the development of project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget considerations.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing systems to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for all solutions, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user guides.
- Work closely with the enterprise architecture team to ensure that solution architecture aligns with overarching architectural principles, guidelines, and goals.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve solution designs.
- Mentor team members on solid solution architecture and design practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Ten or more years of broad-based experience in information technology.
- Five or more years of experience in a Solutions Architect role or similar position.
- Prior Solutions Architecture leadership experience preferred.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in system integration, data integration, and application development.
- Excellent knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with microservices architecture, application programming interfaces (APIs), and web services.
- Familiarity with database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
