Job Description:
We have an immediate role available for an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our NPI and Product Support team.
In this role, you will have a chance to grow your skills working under SMEs as you support the continued production of one of our advanced product lines. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a great team to support cutting-edge hardware fielded on the most advanced Military Platforms.
Activities day to day will vary and may include:
- Working on the Mechanical Engineering team to support various products in the product line
- Perform mechanical engineering duties such as drawing reviews, tolerance analyses, and other mechanical analysis under the supervision of mechanical leads and SMEs.
- Generate Change Orders (Cos) to resolve production design issues.
- Supporting product yield and affordability improvement initiatives.
- Supporting transition to production of new products (NPI Transitions)
- Working in partnership with a cross functional team to ensure on time deliveries of quality products to support the War Fighter.
Skills
- Mechanical Engineering degree and ideally 5 years' experience
- Security Clearance is a plus but not required
- Experience with 3D Modeling, CREO Parametric a plus
- Experience with electromechanical products and/or electrical products.
- Ability to research and apply mechanical engineering principles and theories to solve mechanical engineering problems
- Ability to support products from their transition to production through sustainment
- Ability to multi-task and utilize resources on your team to solve issues in a dynamic environment
- Motivated self-starter with leadership potential and ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
