Job Description:
Apex is currently searching for a Windows Server Platforms Customer Engineer for one of our largest technology clients. This will be a fully remote with a M-F 8-5 local time schedule. This is a long-term 12-18 month contract.
Must have Skills
Azure stack, Hyper-V, Windows Platform SME
Technical skills: Broad knowledge of on-premises Microsoft products with deep understanding of (at least) 4 of the following:
Windows Server
Windows Client Patching Virtualization (Hyper-V)
Networking
Storage
Failover Clustering
Windows Performance
Blue Screen debugging
PowerShell and Automations RDS\\WVD
Technical experience with hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and technology management.
7 years experience in Systems Architecture, Administration, Operations, Software support, IT consulting Understanding of Microsoft's Modern IT Architecture and Strategy Azure, knowledge of: IaaS platform Infrastructure as Code Governance Azure Active Directory\\ Identity Management Proven track record in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises environments Windows OS Cert knowledge Install Configure and Troubleshoot Windows 10/ 11 (Advanced to expert level) Understand Windows Servicing process Upgrade process from Windows 7, 8, 8.1 to Windows 10/ 11 PowerShell/ automation, DNS, GPO, DHCP Advanced Knowledge of Universal and Provisioned applications Windows Performance and troubleshooting via windows tools (Perfmon/ WPA, task manager) Blue Screen debugging RDS (Remote Desktop Session) WVD (Windows Virtual Desktop)

Enterprise customer base 5 years Advanced troubleshooting Candidates must be able to work independently. Characteristics of importance include but are not limited to customer service, problem solving, communication skills, and the ability to read/interpret the needs/wants of customer executives and leaders. Advanced Microsoft certifications are preferred. BA/BS degree in Business, Communications, or Information Technology highly preferred Expert level of Microsoft enterprise software product offerings Excellent demonstrated customer service skills"
