Our client is seeking a Senior Lead Product Owner, Workday Payroll, to support the Human Resources (HR) Transformation & Products Team! This role will sit hybrid/onsite in either Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC!
This is an exciting opportunity to partner with HR and business leaders across the company to tackle complex problems and develop solutions. This role is responsible for the US Payroll product vision, roadmap, and delivery of solutions. This individual must be a strong collaborator with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills. Success in this role requires the ability to thrive as a hands-on independent contributor, yet the ability to leverage leadership acumen to build credibility and direct matrixed resources in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Workday Payroll, managing agile scrum teams, and a strong executive presence. This role involves implementing payroll from a third-party system to Workday, requiring expertise in this area. The candidate should also have a solid understanding of tax, HR products, and cross-product experience within the financial services sector.

Youd be responsible for:
- Consult as an expert to develop or influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Product Management.
- Consult on the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical and inductive thinking.
- Provide expertise to client senior leadership on innovative Product Management business solutions.
- Strategically engage with client personnel.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- Workday Payroll experience
- Experience managing agile scrum team
- Experience Writing stories
- Financial services industry experience
- Experience implementing payroll from 3rd party to workday is preferred.
- Experience with Tax, understanding of HR products, cross product experience
