APEX TK is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support a critical government client in a transformational program. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of the organization. This client is responsible for designing, building, and operating national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground.
Responsibilities:
- Support the government in transforming its organization to execute a new program, including defining the interaction of the program and communication strategy.
- Assess impacts of changes to functional/system/enterprise requirements on the architecture, interfaces, and verification/validation plans.
- Develop and implement systems engineering processes, including change and configuration management boards, engineering and review processes.
- Define program roles, responsibilities, and authorities derived from the program and mission charter.
- Analyze and document existing systems and processes.
- Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation, including requirements specifications, architecture diagrams, and test plans.
- Support system verification and validation process.
- Participate in technical interchange meetings between developers and the COTR.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on supporting models and gates associated with the systems engineering lifecycle and acquisition product lifecycle.
- Experience with organizational transformation and change management.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with government acquisition processes.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Location: On-site co-location with government client in Chantilly, Virginia.
