The Blueprint (Role Profile)
The Forger operates large hammers to shape heated metal bars into chain accessories for the Campbell Chain brand. A high level of concentration and focus is required to ensure safe operations. The work schedule is 4 days a week, 10 hours a day Monday through Thursday 5 AM to 3 PM daily.

The Blueprint (Role Profile)
The Forger operates large hammers to shape heated metal bars into chain accessories for the Campbell Chain brand. A high level of concentration and focus is required to ensure safe operations. The work schedule is 4 days a week, 10 hours a day Monday through Thursday 5 AM to 3 PM daily.
The Build (Responsibilities)
- Set up, operate, or tend presses and forging machines.
- Turn handles or knobs to set pressures and depths of ram stokes and to synchronize machine operations.
- Position and move steel pieces using forging tongs from slot furnace to open die forging hammer.
- Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure conformance to product specifications.
- Install, adjust, and remove dies, synchronizing cams, forging hammers, and stop guides using overhead cranes or other hoisting devices and hand tools.
- Cross-trained to operate numerous pieces of equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment when required.
- Move material to and from work area.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product, including reporting non-conforming materials.
- Report unusual conditions or questionable items to team lead or supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Maintain accurate records as required.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by team lead or supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-year relevant experience preferred.
- Proficient math skills.
- Mechanical abilities and experience using hand tools.
- Able to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) required, including Fridays as needed.
- Stand and perform repetitive work for 10 hours.
- Walk, hear, see, and have full use of both hands.
- Lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Work in a high temperature environment.
- Climb stairs and ladders.
