Senior Staff Accountant
Reports to: CFO
FLSA status- Exempt

Job Summary
This Position is for a Senior Staff Accountant. The market spans several locations across Colorado. The incumbent will act in the role of a financial business partner with managers in these markets. Senior Staff Accountant will handle complex business analysis, evaluating new business opportunities, analyzing contracts and productivity optimization in addition to managing daily transactions. Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for Month End close, assisting with forecasting and budgets. As we continue to grow you will assist with acquisition integrations, development of internal controls and training individuals that align with our core values.
Essential Functions
Financial Statements
- Complete all journal entries needed to finish month end in a timely manner.
- Reconcile balance sheets prior to month end closing.
- Review financial statements with management prior to close to make sure all accruals have been captured.
- Send draft financial statements to management for review.
- Provide narrative to management about variances to budgets and forecasts.
Accounts Payable and Account Receivable
- Ensure proper GL coding.
- Ensure proper cut off dates for Month End.
- Ensure accruals are done to capture transactions were distributed into correct months.
- Make sure reports are ran to ensure payments are processed and any outstanding accruals are investigated and resolved.
- Make sure client records are accurate and all work orders are in databases before client invoicing.
- Review Aging to ensure collections are accurate. Work with the collections team to make sure we are getting paid timely.
- Ensure all bill cycles are correct and work with field to improve Days Sales Outstanding.
- Run credit reports for new customers and approve any credit limit requests.
- Make sure the cash application process is good and we don’t have any unapplied payments monthly.
Fixed Assets
- Make sure all capital purchases have the proper approval prior to purchasing assets.
- Make sure all assets are recorded with proper useful life and monthly depreciation.
- Make sure all asset disposals have the proper approvals and asset gains or losses are recorded.
- Ensure any assets transferred to other locations are moved timely.
Audit
- Assist with any external audits.
- Help create and maintain internal audits to make sure we have separation of duties.
- Address audit issues and work with management on prompt corrective actions.
Pricing
- Ensure through direct communication with Operational Managers pricing for all services and equipment is established.
- Reviewed pricing to reflect variable costs, ensuring services operate at acceptable margins.
- Adjust pricing to help achieve budget guidelines.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
