JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of the Territory Sales Representative position will be to maintain and expand the Company?s business base by maximizing the profitability of assigned customer accounts and help the Company grow by soliciting new business. The Territory Sales Representative will use their sales expertise and technical knowledge about the water treatment within the agricultural industry to recommend and apply products and services designed to improve agricultural water treatment, irrigation efficiency, crop protection, and soil health applications and solutions, as well as communicate program results to the Company?s Sales Managers and customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generate and execute sales plans in South Central Texas
Regularly contact customers and prospects to develop and maintain positive customer relationships
Provide sound water treatment and management consultation, in an effort to enhance bottom line profitability for both customers and Company
Local travel throughout the San Antonio area is expected and ongoing
Maintain professional and technical knowledge to understand and influence trends and define and deliver value propositions
Liaise between entire range of stakeholders (customers, technicians, laborers, internal departments, executives) to predict, analyze and resolve customer needs and/or challenges
Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Four (4) years of experience in technical sales/service
Water treatment, specialty chemical, or related industry experience
Working knowledge of the agricultural industry
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point and ability to learn internal business systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Mechanical/technical aptitude
Ability to understand and learn technical properties and functionality of product portfolio
Ability to work independently and without supervision; effectively plan, organize and execute activities
Possession of a current, valid driver?s license and adherence to Company standards for operating a motor vehicle
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Five (5) years of experience in technical sales/service
OSHA 10 certification
