What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powerline Right of Way Technician position at apexnc?
Performs specialized skilled work in tree
pruning, removal, planting and right of way clearing in order to maintain
adequate clearance for the safe operation of the Town’s electric distribution
system. Employees of this class work as a member of a crew to operate
specialized forestry/arboricultural vehicles and equipment to perform tree
pruning, removal, planting and landscape maintenance functions to maintain
right of way clearance around the town’s electrical lines. This position also maintains landscaping
around substations and ground mounted switchgear and enclosures, and assists
other departments with tree and limb removal and maintenance.
This position reports to the Powerline Arborist. Requires regular supervision on routine work. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
