The successful candidate for the position of Industrial Mechanic shall fully capable of performing all job functions listed in 1.0 and possess all the qualifications itemized in Sections 1.0 through 5.1.

1. JOB TASKS

• 1.1 Perform all phases of machine and facilities maintenance.
• 1.2 Identify and repair mechanical problems quickly and effectively.
• 1.3 Ability to multi-task.
• 1.4 Maintain a sufficient parts inventory for machines and facilities to assure efficient repairs.
• 1.5 Maintain an orderly and effective purchasing order file.
• 1.6 Receive, stock, and inventory all incoming maintenance items.
• 1.7 Track and schedule company vehicle for repairs and maintenance.
• 1.8 Perform ground maintenance.
• 1.9 Work up to a 40 hour scheduled work week.
• 1.9.1 Note: Must be able to work any shift or overtime to maintain work schedules as required.
• 1.10 Available 24 hours per day for any security or fire alarm calls.
• 1.11 Run errands with company vehicle.
• 1.12 Versed in the use of fabrication equipment.
• 1.13 Fabrication of equipment/parts by verbal instruction and supplied blueprints.
• 1.14 Capable of utilizing machine shop equipment.
• 1.15 Welding all type of various materials.
• 1.16 Forklift operation.
• 1.17 Build/setup/relocate facility equipment.
• 1.18 Equipment setup/change over to comply with production requirements.
• 1.19 Comply with all documentation procedures.

2. JOB SKILLS

• 2.1 Exceptional mechanical aptitude.
• 2.2 Knowledge and understanding of electrical prints, schematics, and electronic controls.
• 2.3 Welding, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• 2.4 Ability to complete, distribute, and file correct forms for the purchasing, stocking, and inventorying of parts.
• 2.5 Skilled in utilizing measuring instruments.
• 2.6 Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record. 
•  2.7 Read, write, and understand English.
• 2.8 Computer literate.
• 2.9 Counting.

4. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• 4.1 Receive Instructions through various communications media accurately and quickly.
• 4.2 Convey answers or instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, and quickly.
• 4.3 Must be able to lift and move up to a maximum of 40 pounds.
• 4.4 The Maintenance Mechanic will be subject to dust, noise, fumes, and odors.
• 4.5 The Maintenance Mechanic will be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions.
• 4.6 The physical activity of this position includes, but is not limited to:
• 4.6.1 climbing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting, sitting, and feeling.
• 4.7 Safety equipment will be provided where needed and required to be worn of used.

5. EDUCATION

• 5.1 High School graduate preferred
• 5.2 Minimum of five (5) years in Manufacturing setting in Converting, Printing, Packaging and Pharma Industry
