API RISE was founded to empower the Asian, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander American communities and specifically those individuals who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. The part-time Administrative Program Specialist role is primarily administrative in focus, including internal operations, fiscal operations, and an array of logistical support to program staff. The secondary focus is on API RISE programs, including prison in-reach, member / community care, policy advocacy, and social enterprise. The Administrative Program Specialist is supported and supervised by the Co-Director(s) or Program Director.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative and Fiscal Operations Duties (50%)
- Support administrative and finance correspondence with vendors
- Assist or lead with ordering, purchases, and expense tracking (eg. merch, meals) for programs and organizational activities.
- Coordinate various meeting logistics (planning, preparation, agendas, tracking RSVP’s, etc).
- Assist with API RISE organizational email correspondence :
- Identify which staff should follow up, if necessary.
- Follow up with volunteer inquiries.
- Support training, and assist with in-house tech support and tools (eg. Slack, Squarespace, Calendar, etc.)
- Other administrative and fiscal duties as assigned.
