Position Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and evaluating candidates. This role plays a critical part in attracting top talent across New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona while partnering with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a deep understanding of talent acquisition best practices, and the ability to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy & Candidate Sourcing
- Partner with Division Managers to design and update job descriptions.
- Attend monthly meetings with Division Managers and General Manager.
- Develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
- Source candidates through various channels, including social media, job boards, networking events, job fairs, and professional platforms.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of potential candidates for current and future hiring needs.
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Manage the entire recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, and candidate evaluation.
- Assess candidates for necessary certifications.
- Advertise job openings across multiple platforms, including the company website, job boards, and internal postings.
- Craft compelling job postings to attract highly qualified candidates, including for hard-to-fill positions.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify suitable candidates.
- Schedule interviews for hiring managers with selected candidates.
Candidate Experience & Onboarding
- Serve as a consultant to new hires, assisting with the onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition.
- Complete pre-employment drug screening.
- Create and manage badging process for all employees.
- Communicate job offers, respond to candidate inquiries regarding compensation and benefits, and facilitate the offer acceptance process.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear communication and transparency throughout the hiring process.
- Facilitate background checks and other necessary hiring paperwork.
- Order business cards as needed.
Talent Acquisition Analytics & Compliance
- Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire, and source of hire.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the recruiting process.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment process.
Engagement & Employer Branding
- Represent the company at job fairs and recruitment events to strengthen employer branding and attract top talent.
- Build relationships with trade schools and apprenticeship programs.
- Foster relationships with industry professionals, community organizations, and educational institutions to expand talent pipelines.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify future workforce needs and proactively develop recruitment strategies.
Other job duties
- Assists HR and Administrative Team with company events and covering phones and front desk
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the needs of the department and organization.
