POSITION STATEMENT:

The System Engineer will:
- Report all information pertaining to all key indicators of the organization to include but not be limited to Information System Issues. The IT Support Specialist will function with autonomy, diplomacy and professionalism within the guidelines established by this organization.
- Promote the well-being of the human aspect of this organization and report any concerns to the Technical Operations Manager
- Function with the highest esteem in dealing with all employees, supervisors, and consumers of this organization
- Be an advocate for all the policies and protocols of the organization
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

INFORMATION SYSTEM
-
Software Programs
- Monitor and maintain current software programs
- Implement new and update old software programs
- Work with Software vendor to assure compliance of same
- Maintain network functions and problem solve as required
- Learn new programs, and train/monitor staff
- Ensure licensing of all new software programs
- Assist the Technical Operations Manager to purchase and set up new and existing software programs.
- Review and present all facts pertaining to financial obligations of software purchases and updates.

Hardware
- Diagnose, repair, and replace malfunctioning hardware components, including desktop, laptop, printer and peripherals.
- Make recommendations for new hardware and assist in the contract negotiations with computer technology companies
- Monitor and update system as necessary to avoid problems
- Problem solve PC applications and offer training to support staff
- Ensure registration and/or licensing compliance with all PC applications
- Assist the Technical Operations Manager purchase and maintain new and existing hardware
- Review and present all facts pertaining to financial obligations of hardware purchases and updates

- Develop and maintain hardware and software inventory

Network Administration
- Administer Windows- based network and infrastructure
- Administer remote connections

Perform all user administration tasks
- Account management
- Folder permissions

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree or Technical Certifications
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- One (1) to Three (3) years in Information Technology or related field
- Strong customer service orientation with proven accomplishments

Excellent computer skills and background to include:
- Microsoft Operating Systems
- O365/M365 Suite
- Adobe systems
- Database fundamentals
- Azure AD
- AV Software
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software
