Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate with Apis Services is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Full-time Lead (DSP) Residential Support Specialists position at our Westampton group home.
Rate $20.70/21.70 signing bonus $1000

The LEAD RSS will function with autonomy, diplomacy, and professionalism within the guidelines established by APIS and Advancing Opportunities. They will function with the highest esteem in working with all employees, supervisors, and consumers in the organization. The LEAD RSS will be an advocate for the policies and protocols of APIS/Advancing Opportunities.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years DSP Experience
- Valid driver’s license
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Consent to State & Federal Criminal Background Checks;
- Drug Screen; Pre-Employment Physical & PPD;
- Complete all orientation & pre-service training as required
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent judgement, problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities, families, co-workers, staff, supervisors, funding sources and social service agency personnel.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant computer software as related to the job responsibilities
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversight of one Group Home
- Conduct quality inspections on all shifts
- Provide assistance with emergencies at the Group Home

Supervise and direct workflow of residential support specialist including the following:
- Medical Appointments/medication management in conjunction with the Program Coordinator.
- Attend consumer medical appointments
- Complete requirements to become a Medication Administration Observer
- Monitor medications for refills and reconcile weekly medications with the PC upon delivery prior to the start of each week.
- Ensure staff administering medications have completed and are current in medication administration training
- On-Call - Participate in on call rotation as needed.
