- The Manager of Payroll will :

PERFORM AND / OR SUPERVISE ALL DUTIES RELATED TO FINANCE DEPARTMENTPAYROLL MANAGEMENT
Plans, organizes and directs all aspects of payroll, benefit payment / reimbursement, claims and payment processing
Assist with all fiscal matters relating to APIS SERVICES.Monitor and manage all day-to-day fiscal services relative to PayrollAssist the auditors in the annual audit process to ensure all questions are answered in an accurate and timely mannerDevelop and implement programs to make certain APIS SERVICES is following all fiscal regulations imposed by the County, State and / or Federal Government agenciesSelects and trains / orients departmental personnel. Recommends merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actionsMonitors the use of an automated timekeeping system used throughout the organization for hourly employeesProvides assistance to all management staff related to the performance of financial management mattersSTAFF ACCOUNTANTPAYROLL PROCESSING
Maintain all payroll records
Process all employee change notices received from the Human Resource DepartmentEnter payroll information weeklyProcess payroll journal entry bi-weeklyDistribute all pay stubs bi-weeklyProcess downloads from payroll vendor and print reportsProcess manual payroll checks as neededMaintain payroll verification forms per payrollEnter all employee job distributionsInteract with payroll vendor with respect to payroll related technical issues to ensure accurate payroll data on an ongoing basisProcess third party payments per payrollPrepare budget information for all Community Homes per payrollDistribute W-2 and OPT Tax formsCompare all payroll entries to report from payroll vendorDistribute time sheets for Programmatic review and make any necessary adjustments as notedAdhere to all automated timekeeping protocolsEMPLOYEE TIMECARDSRecipient number

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related fieldEducation and Experience :
Master’s degree in finance or related field preferredCertified Public AccountantFive (5) to seven (7) years’ experience working in a non-profit organizationKnowledge of the principles of management sufficient to direct professional staffKnowledge of human services financing and budgeting requirementsKnowledge of tax and federal reporting requirementsKnowledge of GAAPKnowledge of governmental accounting protocols, contract negotiations and preparation, and record keepingExcellent communication skillsExcellent computer skillsExcellent writing, documentation, and financial skillsExcellent organizational skillsTeam PlayerApis Services, Inc.
