NOW HIRING REVENUE CYCLE SPECIALIST IN THE WILLINGBORO, NJ AREA
The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for the entire revenue cycle process from patient registration to claim payment, under supervision, and in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the overall support of departmental goals, monthly billing and collections and completion of month end specific fiscal processes, ensuring consistency with Revenue Cycle strategy, commitment and goals. This position reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle Management
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:
- Direct Duties:
- Prepare accurate clean claims and submit to third party payers and patients
- Process and review all denials to expedite claim payment and appeal processing
- Posting and reconciliation of daily/weekly and monthly cash deposits
- Obtain information from carrier/County when services billed are denied for reasons of insurance, demographic information and / or authorization
- Update applicable databases with insurance coverage verified benefits, including coverage effective dates, patient demographic information, emergency contacts, residence and deliver to address (if different than residence), insured relationship if patient is not insured and any other applicable information required by software program in use
- Responsible for reporting weekly/monthly results of billing, cash and follow up actions to the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, with the most stringent attention to complying with all governmental and HIPPA mandated patient confidentiality regulations
- Identify and analyze reimbursement trends within the client base you are working
- Identify any issues or problems with payers and the possible difficulties in presenting clean claims to them based upon submission requirements
- Customer satisfaction through building healthy internal and external customer relationships
- Special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma, required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of experience and education, preferred
- Five (5) years' experience in Human Services field, required
- Knowledge and experience in information privacy laws, access, release of information, and release control technologies
- Knowledge in and the ability to apply the principles of health information management, project management, and change management
- Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
- Excellent writing skills and record keeping skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to sit at a desk and utilize a computer for minimum 8 hours per workday.
Ability to work within an office setting.

Requirements:This is an hourly position. Hourly rate varies between $20-$25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
This position is hybrid and will require some on-site/in-person office days.
