What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler III position at APL Logistics?
Overview:
Provides warehouse services through safe, efficient, cost effective and accurate handling of customer products and material using hand tools such as: pneumatic nailer, stapler, tape measure and chop saw. This position may involve all phases of loading, unloading, staging and storage of customer’s product as well as the use of computer equipment and handheld devices.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate the various equipment in the crating area. Inspects tools such as: chop saw, pneumatic nailer and stapler to ensure they are in good working order. Reports any mechanical or safety issues with equipment to a member of management
- Understands and follow all quality standards and report any defective materials or questionable conditions immediately to the area leader.
- Assembles shipping crate per work instruction while using required PPE. Conduct visual inspections and take measurements to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment, equipment in good working order and looks out for others safety. Engages in the development and review of operation specific safety procedures and participates in safety audits throughout the department and plant.
- Operate various types of material handling equipment while loading, unloading, staging, and storage of the customer’s raw and finished goods. Ability to utilize Warehouse Management System on the computer as well as the use of handheld devices with efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:
Experiences
- Experience with material handling equipment, saws, small hand tools and assembly a plus

- Desire to work in a team environment.
Language Skills
- English
The hourly wage for this position is $20.50.
